TELEVISION hunk Simon Baker showed his true colours on Saturday by cheering on the Lennox Head Trojans in their Far North Coast rugby match against Casino at Lennox Head.

Baker, who grew up in Lennox Head and Ballina before making it big in film and television, is back in the area for a short stay while on break from filming US television show The Mentalist.

The star has family and friends in the area and is a regular visitor on the Far North Coast.

Although he wore dark glasses, it did not take long for the crowd to notice the actor who has also appeared in hit movies such as LA Confidential and The Devil Wears Prada.

Simon has been voted the Most Glamorous Actor for Monte Carlo TV Festival (organised by Tele 7 Jours magazine) and Robin came 2nd in the Most Glamorous Actress vote

Simon Baker, an actor in Nine show The Mentalist and the face of Samsung, is one of three celebrities in the running to replace Barbara the banker in the next series of ANZ commercials.

 

Two sources close to the client confirmed that Baker was among the favourites to represent the bank, but was "not locked in” yet.

It looks as though Channel 5 are showing The Mentalist Finale over 2 weeks. Part 1 is showing on LocateTV as scheduled for 3rd June, presumably Part 2 will be 10th June.
