Spoiler for anyone not watching at US pace - about Rigsby and Cho (scroll down to about 7th entry): http://www.tvguide.com/News/MegaBuzz-Glee-Greys-1030261.aspx

goforlocation reports that The Mentalist is filming on their home stage at Warner Bros today.
I've checked back and the last filming report we had was on 14th February for 3.18 The Red Mile. So, it does look as though there has been a filming break, which makes me think that the information about Simon having (minor) back surgery is probably true.

Good article which makes clear that Simon has not become a US citizen. And when he does, it will be dual citizenship.
    Excerpt:
"It was ridiculous. It came out of an interview in New York, right after Barack Obama was elected President, and I was asked how I felt. I said we had said we should become citizens.

"Suddenly my mum's calling me, saying, `I was at the doctor's and New Idea is saying you don't want to be Australian any more' and every interview I've done since has said, `So what, you don't want to be Australian any more?'

"I'm an incredibly proud Australian, ridiculous to the point where my American friends get sick of hearing me say, `But in Australia it wouldn't happen like that'. I'm that guy. So it broke my heart when people were saying, `Ah, you don't want to be Australian'. "I was like, you don't understand. "There's no rejection of my Australian-ness. That's something you'd have to beat out of me with a stick."

There are some new pictures in the gallery of Simon out and about on Wednesday.
The information attached to one of the photos said that Simon has just had back surgery, but I don't know if this is true. Has anyone heard anything about it?

Nicely written blog - The Mentalist vs Castle
MAJOR SPOILERS from Episode 16 Red Queen
    http://carlinjona.livejournal.com/51244.html
    Excerpt:
I connected with this show right from the first. Simon Baker's acting is perfect, the supporting characters are fully developed and fascinating and even Lisbon is very likeable - despite the de rigueur black outfits and hipster pants that make her tummy stick out. The UST between her and Jane is fun, more so in that it won't go anywhere. It doesn't need to go anywhere and would be false if it did; Jane is wholly committed to finding (and killing Red John). I like his bumbling antics that hide the intelligence behind them, I like the wounded hurt that drives him. I love the way he hides behind Lisbon when things get dangerous. I like Rigby and Cho's manly connection - 'I don't want to hear about your feelings.' 'Good, me neither.' Rigsby is a nice doofus and Cho is an excellent straight man. I like Van Pelt who makes mistakes and wants to learn and do the right thing, I very much like her hunky new fiance. But, most of all I like the continuing plot arc of Red John, how it pops up at unexpected moments, turning an ordinary case into one fraught with tension.

Morena Baccarin will take a break from plotting the downfall of humanity on ABC’s V to take a guest-starring role on an upcoming episode of CBS’ The Mentalist, EW has learned exclusively. Baccarin will play Erica Flynn, described as an "attractive and sexy woman who seems as warm-hearted, sincere, and intelligent as she is lovely.” Baccarin’s character runs a matchmaking business, and may have some dark secrets. Expect attractive-person sparks to fly between Erica and Simon Baker’s Patrick Jane when the episode airs in early April.

I've posted some older interviews in the Videos/Interviews section of the forum, which may be new to some people:

    - Radio interview for the Kevin and Bean Show - September 2008
    - Video of Simon talking about the fun he had on Land of the Dead - 2005
    - Video by Entertainment Tonight from the set of Flame Red - 2008
(Simon looking particularly yummy in this one!)

Last 3 entries on this page: http://thebakerboy.ucoz.com/forum/13-5-4

I've also put together Simon's Personal History with dates, in the Simon Chat section of the forum. Any suggestions for improving this will be welcome.
