Without a doubt, this photo session on the Hotel Majestic beach with Simon Baker by a beautiful sunny day will remain as part of my best memories of the 68th Cannes Film festival. Super-smiling, in a good mood and (this is not a scoop) utterly charming, the Australian actor very kindly lent himself over to my photographer demands. And I must admit that I especially love photo sessions with male actors. Why? Their amused and surprised expression when they find that the photographer is a woman (a rather rare thing in Cannes) and their good will to please me always delight me! tells Theodora Richter

I love to see Simon smile (don't we all) and his laugh lines (not wrinkles) only make him more beautiful. I will miss him on my TV screen every week and I already sorely miss Patrick Jane.
Can't wait to see what he will do next. His has always entertained and delighted me and I don't expect to be disappointed in the future.
(OK I still have a wish for a Mentalist movie in the future. I really want to see a little Jane)

SIMON BAKER
The Mentalist actor will make his directorial debut with Australian film Breath, he announced at the festival. "The gathering storm of the story, detailed and intimate against the power and scope of the rugged setting, struck me as incredibly cinematic," Baker said about the upcoming project, which he's also set to produce and star in. "I’m beyond excited to be back in Australia realizing this dream."
