EXCLUSIVE: Buyers are feeling the love for Working Title and comedy writer Dan Mazer’s romantic comedy I Give A Year, which is being sold internationally by StudioCanal.
In early sales, eOne has acquired the picture for Canada, Benelux and Australia. It has also gone to Scandinavia (Svensk) and Russia (Daro/Cascade).
"It’s Working Title doing what it does best,” says Harold Van Leer. "We’ve also got a lot of interest from the US but we’re not expecting a deal here… we’ll show a promo at Toronto.”
Rose Byrne stars opposite Rafe Spall as a couple with serious doubts about their compatibility as they approach their first wedding anniversary. The $25m production is fully financed by StudioCanal.
