Spoilers for Episodes 4.23 and 4.24
    (Transcript from a TV Magazine)

Crime genius Patrick Jane is fired from his job at CBI after an emotional meltdown at the office in the May 10 episode. Then in the season ender set several months later, we find him living in Las Vegas, where he’s working (once again) as a fake psychic. "Jane has finally had enough of chasing after serial killer Red John”, says exec producer Bruno Heller. "He decides to pack it in and that sends him on a severe downward spiral, much to the dismay of his former team at CBI”.

The finale boasts yet another game-changing encounter with Red John plus a potential love interest for Jane, played by ex-Entourage star Emmanuelle Chriqui. "She’s a breath of fresh air and might be Jane’s saving grace” says Heller. "She doesn’t judge him and that’s exactly what he needs. He’s in such a vulnerable place.” Chriqui, meanwhile is set to return next season. Do we see long-term romance in Jane’s future?

Photo caption: Jane in love? Yep says exec producer Bruno Heller "He really falls for her"

    Ashley Gable leaves The Mentalist

It appears that Season 4 is Ashley Gable's last season on The Mentalist. Ashley has hinted at it previously and on twitter yesterday she replied to the question 'You will be with us next season as well, yes?' with "The episode is called "So Long and Thanks" (for all the Red Snapper) for a reason!"

I hope Ashley is moving on to exciting new projects, but I think she will be greatly missed.

    Rigsby / Sarah Spoiler

So is Rigsby going to make things work with his baby mama on The Mentalist?
ADAM: Creator Bruno Heller says Rigsby is certainly going to try, but I wouldn't be surprised if Sarah wasn't much of a presence in Season 5. (Lest we forget, finales are dangerous.) Supporting my theory is this juicy tidbit from Heller about Rigsby's former lover and teammate Van Pelt: "I think after all the problems with her last boyfriend, Van Pelt's starting to look at Rigsby and realize that he was a better prospect than he might have seemed at the time."
