    CBS ANNOUNCES 2012-2013 PRIMETIME SCHEDULE

    Excerpt:
On Sunday, CBS adds a hit drama to a prestigious, award-winning lineup. The acclaimed news magazine 60 MINUTES returns for its 45th season to open at 7:00 PM, followed by the eight-time Emmy Award-winning THE AMAZING RACE at 8:00 PM and the critically lauded and award-winning drama THE GOOD WIFE at 9:00 PM. A proven ratings winner at 10:00 PM, THE MENTALIST moves to Sunday to close out the night.

There is an article in Deadline that The Mentalist is on the move, likely to Sunday. Call me petty, but I refuse to watch anything that replaces it. (Wand612)

    Excerpt:
Because CBS picked up only two new comedies, Partners and Friend Me, speculation is that CBS won’t expand the Thursday comedy block to two hours, keeping the rising Person Of Interest put at 9 PM. The consensus is that the Thursday 10 PM series, The Mentalist, will move out to make room for a new series, the Sherlock Holmes reboot Elementary or period drama Vegas, jokingly referred to "Pre-CSI” as it is set in Sin City decades before CBS’ signature forensic drama.

As for The Mentalist‘s destination, Sunday appears logical, withCSI: Miami going away. On the comedy side, Partners seems bound for fall. A big question is whether CBS would keep 2 Broke Girls on Monday or move it Thursday to strengthen its grip on TV’s most coveted night.
