Just some observations of Simon in Cannes:
1) Love his choice of traveling attire. That's a good look on him. Maybe I'm just getting old but I still have trouble with brown shoes with black trousers despite the fact that his shoes were gorgeous. I love shoes and I always notice them - makes no difference if they're men's or women's shoes. 2) Based on the size of his suitcase, it doesn't seem like he's staying in Cannes for very long. Just a small overnighter and it didn't look like the person who took him to his car was carrying any luggage. |

redbird, I saw on video that his driver had a case too. I guess that Simon had his hand luggage. But two cases isn't really much for such a big overseas trip. |

I like his beard in this photo. It accents the lines of his face rather than hiding them, and gives him a pleasingly soft air. |

I know there are 2 "clans" here, pros and cons "wooly mammoth" look , but I quite like the longer hair and the beard…

I love the beard and I don't mind him with longer hair but for me, this long is too long. I like his look best when it's a bit more cleaned up and polished. For instance, I loved his look at the start of the reboot in Season 6 of The Mentalist. And I love his look in all of the Givenchy photos. |

I think it's for the role of Sando he let his hair this long, so no worry, he will crop the golden curls later!
Simon in Cannes but in the 2005 (for Land of the Dead with Romero). Beard and hair too, but shorter.

Thanks for the photo, DS!
While his look today might not be my favorite, I have no complaints for a couple of reasons. First, it's just nice him again. Second, it's nice to see him looking footloose, fancy-free and unencumbered by the pressures of carrying a TV show - there's no denying that he looks happy, relaxed and rather excited about his new project. Third, as soon as he smiles, who cares how long his hair is?
