I recently finished watching The Guardian after enjoying three seasons for around two months. I fell in love with the characters and loved how the show lacked happy endings, excessive murder, and all the other crazy things that go on in other law dramas (not that I don't like those shows, this one is much more thought-provoking). I thought I'd try to keep the show alive for me. Instead of watching it over and over again, I decided to work on my own fan-fiction. I've written the first chapter, which takes place seven years after the finale (it's November 2011). I guess the time doesn't really matter as it's irrelevant to the plot in this chapter, but anyway, please read it and I hope you all enjoy it! Thanks for any feedback! It's much appreciated!

No,no, no. Please don't do this. After 7 years I like to think that Nick would have found someone to love him and to want to be with him, not for him to still be stuck with Miss Lulu 'I don't want you but no-one else is going to have you no matter how unhappy it makes you' Archer. She's still ordering him around as well by the sound of it. Don't be so cruel. |

I like to think Lulu only acted that way because he cheated on her after he asked if she would marry him... and she was pregnant with his child at the time. If I were her, I'd feel a little anger toward it all, as well. I'll definitely have to revisit moments like that in the series in future chapters to help everyone understand where Nick and Lulu are at the present time.
Also, I'm delighted to read you feel like I've written her character somewhat faithfully. Even if you are totally against the idea of a follow-up, it's great to know you see it has potential with the characters! Thank you! Oh, and another thing, chapter two is up now! Sorry!

Actually I'm against a follow up as such, I just don't think he would still be with Lulu. Sorry. You write it almost as no time has passed. Seven years is a long time and I think they would have both moved on. |
