Small article from "Grazia" french edition

Muse of the Givenchy "Gentleman only" fragrance, the actor mischievously indulged in our Q&A game.
Before the filming of Breath, his first movie as a director.

A cliché about you?
I am Australian and I surf.
The song that carried you away on the dance floor?
Golden Years by David Bowie
The record you listen too much?
Astral Weeks by Van Morrisson
Your fictional hero?
Wile E. Coyote. He never surrender!
The movie you've never tired of watching?
The Graduate by Mike Nichols.
The work of art that would be perfect in your living room?
A large painting from the Australian painter Bret Witheley
The book you never gave back?
Breath from the Australian Tim Winton, I bought the copyrights to make my first film.
The TV series you were addicted to?
I should answer The Mentalist! But I adored your french series "The Returned".
Your style in three words?
Work in Progress.
The actors who inspire you?
Carry Grant and Gregory Peck.
Your favourite legal drug?
Coffe.
Your beauty routine?
Sleep and physical exercise.
The ideal place for a date?
The Bondi Iceberg Club in Sydney, the ideal spot in summer. In Paris, I fell in love with your Closerie des Lilas. Perfect for the night.
The city where you would like to start from scratch?
Paris, if I was able to speak French! But I don't think I could start a new life there, because I'm getting recognized way too much! (laughs)
The detail that spoils it for you?
Bitterness. I hate that.

Thanks for the translation DSP and the superb photo! Interesting answers that tell us a little more about him and I will have to google the australian painter and also Astral Weeks by Van Morrison. I love his description of himself as a "work in progress". He has such a great sense of humour about himself. Just got to love him❤️

Thanks DSP....Brett Whitely was an avant-garde painter...not really my cup of tea unfortunately, but I do like Van Morrison and David Bowie though not particularly "Golden Years"! I also thought he preferred tea to coffee...oh well. I also liked the "work in progress" remark he made with regard to his style and Wile E Coyote as his fictional hero! He's so sweet.

Forever star Ioan Gruffudd reveals what advice Simon Baker gave him

SIMON BAKER’S ADVICE ON BEING A LEADING MAN

"TURNING to The Mentalist star Simon Baker, Castle’s Nathan Fillion and Elementary lead, Jonny Lee Miller for advice on being a US television lead, Gruffudd said he’s had to learn to have his own back.

With his wife, actor Alice Evans and their two young daughters living back in Los Angeles, while he works 16-hour days in New York, the Welsh star said it was Baker who told him to find balance.

“He said ‘just remember that you are the lead and without you there is no show, so protect yourself as much as you can and look after yourself essentially. What’s lovely is this is all happening to me as a 40-year-old who has had experience and success so that’s not weighing heavily on me. I’m enjoying the fact that I’m working and so grateful for the opportunity that’s come around again in my career.”
