Nancy Sinatra also confirms she’s been part of the meetings process with Martin Scorsese about the long-rumored Hollywood biopic of Frank, and that at this point it’s still all about the script. She then shares a tantalizing casting suggestion:
Personally, I think Simon Baker (The Mentalist) could do it. But I’m not involved in the casting. I see his smiling and his twinkling eyes and I see my dad. I don’t think anybody’s ever mentioned him and I certainly haven’t mentioned him to my sister or to Marty [Scorsese], and I wouldn’t because that’s not my job… but in a meeting I might.
OH Boy, it would be great fun to see Simon as Sinatra!! Imagine all the dancing he would do for the part!! A lovely thought for a dreary Monday here. Thanks ladies for the info.

Sounds amazing. I'm happy Simon is getting to do something he's so passionate about but sad not to see him every week on TV. Maybe we can get some of both in the future.
