SO...HOW DOES ONE get to be Simon's surf board waxer??? THAT is a job I want!! It was fasinating watching him care for his surf board in SMITH... tongue

Just because we know something about Lisbon's past doesn't mean that we know everything. And I think a character's behaviour is the most revealing indicator of a troubled past. I'm hoping that the latest spoiler from TVGuide means that in Ep 422 we'll get to understand why Lisbon has a problem with long-term relationships.

 I almost want to say a toss up between Lisbon and Van Pelt cause there isn't a lot of back story. Maybe a little more Van Pelt cause we know pretty much nothing about her other than her bad taste in men.

 It's a tough call. During the first season, there were a lot of hints dropped that Van Pelt had something really traumatic in her background. That seems to have been dropped, but I really hope they revisit it at some point. Not soon, because we just had the fiance trauma, but eventually I think it would be interesting.

 I think that Van Pelt is now scarred even more b/c of her present.
