Yeah, I wondered about that, Mossi. LOL

Also, apparently the guest actress who played the Private Investigator was in a series called "Leverage", and Jane's comments after he gets the clue from her are a tip of the hat to that, I believe.

I really liked Beth Riesgraf in Leverage and thought that it was a little hint about that when Jane said it.

This contains a sort of a spoiler (not a big one) for episode 6.07 (Red Dragon):

Hayseed, the T shirt is a blast.

The cast and crew obviously have so much fun on the set and they have found the way to transfer that on the screen.

That kind of humor is one of the main reasons I love The Mentalist so much (and Simon of course love )

The Mentalist, ep. Red Alert (a tought for our dear DS)

Cop : "I need your license and proof of insurance"
Jane : "I mean, is it really necessary? Aren't we all part of the Justice League? Do you think Aquaman would give Batman a ticket?

biggrin

That was so funny. Here is a more recent one: "You must be Abbott's guy." "Actually, he's my guy." this is so Jane. Can we keep this thread going.

The whole thing with Abbott "representing" the shippers and Cho "representing" the nonshippers was pretty funny to me.

"Semper fi, sissy britches," call out to NCIS, same episode, "Uh, yes it's me they're after not you. That forensic stuff is really overrated. I'm coming out, don't shoot!" call out to CSI. "I don't need a gun, I can hit you with my chair, " "It's bolted to the floor." The whole mouse scene, Black Gold and Red Blood was hilarious, so many great lines from that episode.

So many of the scenes with his hallucination of Charlotte were very sad, but also very funny, i.e. in the ambulance, when he tells her she is a bit lippy and she replies "I get that from you." and so on, what a great gift to us the writers have with some many zany and memorable lines.
