Excerpt of Simon & Rebecca's contributions:
SIMON BAKER, ACTOR AND FRIEND: He’s given a lot of people, not unlike myself that didn’t grow up in Sydney with all the cool kids, the opportunity and the right to say, "Well I can do something too." He is an inspiration. He’s been an inspiration for me. He’s been an inspiration for thousands of filmmakers in this country, and now around the world.
REBECCA RIGG, ACTOR AND FRIEND:FORMER GIRLFRIEND: So I think for John it was, "Listen, if you want to work and you’re sitting around moaning about how there’s no work, get off your arse and go and make a film with a video camera, or your mates from film school, or your dad’s Super 8 or whatever.”
SIMON BAKER, ACTOR AND FRIEND: All I know is, when we went to the second one we were like, "Woah”, because he had like five big TVs. Like, where did you get five TVs? And the barricades on the street. It was like, "Wow, this is kind of a big deal. And who knew that it was just going to keep going and going?"
SIMON BAKER, ACTOR AND FRIEND: I think he's just, as a man, he is just more comfortable around women, and some men are. I’m reasonably comfortable around women.
REBECCA RIGG,ACTOR AND FORMER GIRLFRIEND: And by the way, I've got to interject, he is not flirtatious. It’s not even a flirtatious Casanova vibe at all, it’s not that.
SIMON BAKER, ACTOR AND FRIEND: Worked on you.
REBECCA RIGG,ACTOR AND FORMER GIRLFRIEND: No... it's not what it was, I hate to contradict you.
SIMON BAKER, ACTOR AND FRIEND: He’s always done very well with the ladies.
REBECCA RIGG,ACTOR AND FORMER GIRLFRIEND: Yeah, but it's not...
SIMON BAKER, ACTOR AND FRIEND: Well you are a female perspective, this is going to be a male perspective.
REBECCA RIGG,ACTOR AND FORMER GIRLFRIEND: Oh my God, we can't sit here and argue...
SIMON BAKER, ACTOR AND FRIEND: Yeah we can.
