I guess this is why some shows just stop, with no ending or conclusion. And if it's really bad, with a cliffhanger. Because they didn't know when they finished the season if they are back or not. Very unfair to the whole cast and crew, and to the fans.

Totally unfair. I've never understood why networks do that with many series. All of them deserve to end properly, even the worst. Any story needs an ending because if it's good and the characters are well-written, I empathize with them, as most of viewers. Their sadness is mine as well as their happiness. It's the magic of fiction, it takes hard work and talent to get it. The Mentalist has been doing it for 6 years. I'm not "Jisbon" but think that if it's cancelled I won't know what happen with these two, is killing me. I wish CBS shows some respect for them and us.

It would be a real tragic. All the hard work and money they put into the new set and introduced new characters and than to hear the show is over. So much effort for a half of a season. It would break my heart.

I think the Guardian did end on a positive note. Simon was really tired of the role since it didn't offer him any opportunity to enlarge, as he told in an interview "It's a real slog!"

I didn't think it ended properly as we didn't know if Nick and Lulu were together (we did know she wouldn't give Anne his surname) if she kept the house he bought for her or how he got on in his new job with the decrease in salary etc. Sorry but I thought it unfinished.

If I recall correctly they did a rush ending because they didn't find out the show was going to end until quite close to the end of the season re the Guardian. Still a toss up for TM. With CBS scheduling even more football for Thursday nights now, which is going to alienate their fan base (older females, which aren't the demo that brings in $) and lessening time available for scripted shows, TM is in more of a pinch than ever. The only thing working in its favor is it's a very profitable show for WB and WB is responsible for CBS' most popular show, TBBT. Also ratings were trending up with the revamp. My fingers are crossed.

Is it wrong that this tea/muppet ad reminded me of Patrick Jane/Simon Baker?
