I pre-ordered my copy on 9th June from Amazon but will have to wait until late October for it to be sent. Always a nice surprise when it pops through the post though. tongue

I hope that they have tons of deleted scenes, These are always my favorites on the DVDs and quite frankly give a bit more insight on the performers themselves and not the role they play.

I also hope for deleted scenes and outtakes as well! Those are always fun!

Thanks syriana for the DVD release details - I'm disappointed once again by the Special Features, seems they're continuing their decision not to give us any outtakes - meanies sad

Bruno Heller will be at Comic Con in late July representing Gotham. Hopefully he'll be asked to comment on The Mentalist. In the great world of irony, FOX who is broadcasting the new show, absolutely hated TM and were very vocal about it, particulary in interviews regarding their failed attempt to copy which they declared was 'real' Lie To Me.

Thanks for the insight into Fox and The Mentalist, Peithon. Is Heller even officially associated with The Mentalist anymore?

He's still an executive producer, and his company Primrose Hill still produces. Heller's production offices are at Warner Brothers. BTW, his previous pilot The Advocates which CBS wanted then decided they didn't, well the star finally commented (now star of Gotham) that CBS told them there wasn't room on the schedule for that show. If Gotham hits, it will do severe damage to CBS' top show TBBT, as it plays directly into that demo and niche. CBS may have created their own dragon by not picking up The Advocates. That would be kinda fun cool

No Emmy nomination this year either for Simon or The Mentalist. And never will...

Not sure if this is the correct place of this info, but I found out that the mentalist is being syndicated on MNT in the US this fall. They are going to show 2 episodes back to back on thursday nights. the article is on tvnewscheck.com dated June 17th. Here's the link, http://www.tvnewscheck.com/article....=search

Apparently Robin attended the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour yesterday, presumably on behalf of The Mentalist.

@saveMentalist ( https://twitter.com/SaveMentalist ) is using twitter to try and persuade Warner Bros to put bloopers on The Mentalist DVD:

"RT! Let's show @CBS @Mentalist_CBS and @warnerbrostv how many people want #TheMentalist bloopers."

[If Season 7 is only 13 eps then I would think it would make good commercial sense to put some popular extras on the DVD, so you never know, there may be a chance]

Hello, Everyone!

I'm relatively new to this site and I'm really enjoying it. Very well done ............

I did a bit of searching on the internet today to see if there are any reviews of the new shows on CBS's Fall Line-Up. There are .......... and the reviews that I read really weren't very good for any of the new CBS shows. That could mean quick cancellations - just like what happened to Smith after 3 episodes - and that will leave a hole in the schedule that CBS will have to fill with another show. As of right now, CBS has only ordered 13 episodes of the Mentalist for Season 7 with a tentative premiere date of January 2015. If one of their new shows has a quick cancellation, it's possible that we'll see Season 7 before 2015 and that CBS could order more episodes to complete the season. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

It's what I'm hoping for, redbird. I'm going to be watching the ratings for the new shows like a hawk.
