I loved the movie, but was disappointed there were no captions, since I have some hearing problems and was not able to follow all the dialogue. Guess I'll need to watch it a few more times to get it all biggrin

Still waiting on my DVD ...can you let me know who has ordered it and has received it ? And how long did it take to which country? Did you have to pay taxes?

It's really strange ...since Tanja and my friend Bigi, both from Germany have received their copies before Christmas.

I was so sure my DVD would be there when I came home from North Germany on January 6, but nothing.
I contacted Ptgarmigan Films then, and they were so nice! It wasn't their fault, but they apolozised and were very friendly. They sent out another copy with no charge 2 1/2 weeks ago, we checked my adress, anything was right, still nothing in the mail...
I asked at my post office, they checked all undeliverable packages they had and the ones waiting to be picked up. Nothing.

Can it be that it gets lost 2 times??? Or is the customs office sitting on it? I'm pretty desperate, still hoping though that I might at least get one of the packages.
I have seen the movie, so the waiting is not too hard, but I just hope that I will get the HD DVD some time, since my version is not so good in quality.

Tina re my DVD ...I received my copy before Christmas (can't remember the exact date) and I live in the UK. I ordered it as soon as it was available and according to the package sent to me it was posted on 9th December 2014. The total cost was $22. I can't believe your copy has been lost twice! Hope you receive it soon, please let us know when you do. Good Luck!!

I live in the US and got my copy before Christmas with no problem. However, I was a little disappointed that there were no closed captions and no other extras provided. Instead, little snippets are being released on the internet including an outtake with Simon and several very short ponderings by the director. As Fran pointed out, the beginning shots were altered showing Eric's efforts to get to the funeral. I am immensely curious why it took so long to reissue (probably funding problems) and why--taking the time to remaster they didn't at least provide captions. But it's really a great movie and I love the soundtrack......and mucho thanks again, Fran.

My DVD arrived today! The second delivery they sent out in January. There was a remark from the post office that the adress was wrong ...that's strange because Ptgarmigan Films had emailed me the correct name and adress for confirmation since I hadn't received the first one.
Never mind, just happy it is finally here. The book has arrived too and I just downloaded the new TM episode from itunes. So enough things to do on the weekend. Just too bad I have plans for tomorrow afternoon I can't change...would just love to stay home, watch tv and read.
