Hurray-have just finished framing two cross stitch pictures of Simon. They took more than a year to complete, 37,766 stitches in all. Never mind the damaged eyesight, sciatica and permanently hunched back, it was worth it to create my own little bit of Simon as I know I'll never be able to do anything creative on the computer like all you clever technical wizards.

Wow Tassie! I know how much work that is! Would love to see a photo. I did stiching pictures many years ago, now I knit a lot or chrochet, since I have a knitting yarn shop.
Love to do handcraft.
Tina

Hi tinamarianne, as I said I don't know how to put photo on site. However if you want a rough idea what it looks like type in 'cross stitch designs-simon baker' and click the ones on ebay by serenity designs. I never managed to crochet, perhaps being left-hande had something to do with it.

Amazing, Tassie! I used to do cross-stitch when I was younger. Did you use pictures as patterns?

hi lenacr, bought kits from ebay, chart was so complicated I gave up a few times. Thanks to all for lovely comments, and to Fran for putting photo on site-my needlework skills are better than my computer ones.

hands Tassie, I am more than impressed - these are incredibly great! up
I dare not to imagine how much work it must have been...How long did it take you to complete them?!
If you count the hours as labour-costs I bet it would be beyond price!
Now you have something unique, with your blood, sweat and tears in it (figuratively speaking, I hope)to remind you of Simon! hands

Hi beautyfulbabyboy, it took about a year to complete involving several false starts. Every stitch sewn with love-glad you like it.
