There have been suggestions for a collective birthday card. I think its too difficult and too late to arrange sending a card in the post (and no guarantee that Simon will actually get it).

I've had an idea that we could put together an image with our names on it, which I could then send to the writers on twitter with a message like "Happy Birthday Simon from some of your fans". I've thrown together an example of my idea below to see if people like it. If anyone has any better ideas, please feel free to post your suggestions here (but make it quick!)

I like the fans, feminine, representative of women (most of us are women, I believe), but even more I like the colours, the designs and the flowers on the fans.
Difficult, maybe pictures of different flowers?
Maybe landscapes of our countries (a bit cheesy)?

I think it's a very good idea: simple but it shows how Simon is loved around the world!:-)

Thanks guys - 10 positive responses so far, so I think its worth going with it.
