Now that's where the word fanatic comes from! I can't believe the nerve of some people. I could never do anything so rude, crude , and socially unacceptable. He could have been in danger! Wonder how often that happens to him?

If that's true (and a lot of this kind of crap that gets written isn't), it's awful. Mob psychology is frightening.

I do have to ask - was the john red?

(sorry, I'll see myself out....)

Keep in mind you have to consider the source on this story. The Enquirer is a rag sheet that tends to post stories that have a tiny kernel of truth that get embellished. It's highly unlikely this even happened. It sounds like an urban legend tale. Or one fan followed him in and suddenly it became a whole group.

If this is true (and I suspect it's not) I hope Simon realises that his real fans would NEVER act like this. We have far more respect for the guy.

I think it's almost certainly exaggerated, although I can imagine Simon's reaction being "Oh, for God's sake!". Unfortunately I do think there are some so-called fans who don't know the meaning of respect, so I suspect all celebrities have to deal with bad behaviour from time to time. I think 'fans' like that are in the minority, but even 1 person like that is 1 too many sad

The word fan comes from fanatic, which means to the utmost. That happens here a lot where filming is in open land and stars have to accept that that is the product of fame, but I do agree that following him in the loo was over the top.

French TV mag article: http://tvmag.lefigaro.fr/program....au.html

Google translation (not very good, perhaps one of our French members can improve it for us):

Simon Baker "The Mentalist image stuck with me"
Interview with TF1 heroes coming soon in cinema 's Love

The Australian will surprise his fans by appearing Wednesday, April 10 in the irreverent British comedy Marriage in English , along with Rose Byrne ( Damages ). We met Simon Baker in London at the premiere of the film. Before flying on the set of The Mentalist , he confides his vision of the conjugal union.

Simon Baker, who is your character in the film?
I play Guy, an American, shot the seducer ... Finally, this is what we think at the beginning! He will not run as you can imagine, there's a surprise. I'm a temptation for the bride, played by Rose Byrne, but I do not present it as such.

Did you look forward to receiving proposals for film role radically distant Mentalist ?
For the moment, I have the image Mentalist stuck to the skin and I do not complain, it is the result of the success of the series with millions of fans who follow us around the world. I try now to bring all these people in another universe, they get to follow me in a character. Since I play Patrick Jane, I managed to turn in three films - as secondary roles. I do not have time, unfortunately, turn to a leading role as my "break" on the set, the summer is too short for that. And anyway, I have not found anything that I really like.

You do not get enough scripts to your liking?
It remains limited since I can only work from mid-April to late July. I'm trying to circumvent the problem because I plan to produce my own films. I even want to make myself. I really took a liking to me the realization leading to episodes of The Mentalist .

Of course, it is question of marriage in the film, what it means to you?
Rebecca I married in 1998. This was not a church wedding, pompous, but wedding in Australia! In fact, it was twice married, first in California, Carmel, on the beach, just the two, with our daughter Stella, and the person who has united us. We wanted to celebrate our love as well. Then, five months later, we did it in Australia for Christmas with our families and our friends. We made a huge party under the trees!

Fifteen years of marriage ... : Do you have a secret life?
(He sighs and takes a long pause) I do not hold any secret to last a couple. Always be alert because there will always be obstacles, trials to test the strength of our love. Nothing is played, as I've said before, I do not take our relationship for granted. As soon as we said "that's it, it's easy, it rolls alone! "Something belies that.

The film evokes the first year of marriage your marriage almost did not survive ...
We almost separated, it's true. If we had not decided to leave Australia for the United States, maybe it would have happened. We had a big change and a common challenge: from the front. I struggled for my career, too, we fought to save our marriage, it has "resoldered."
