[I'm]"Cindi. I'm the Script Coordinator. I wrote the freelance Ep. 15, "Red Gold" in S3."
There's some discussion of who Red John is with the usual teasing answers from the writing staff (who I think don't know who Red John is either.  ) One interesting tidbit concerning it being Lisbon "Can't say, but it will be covered soon... say in Ep. 9 or 10. Keep watching."
[In answer to concern that the 22 episode order indicates that this is the show's last season] "No -- one doesn't have to do with the other. But I don't know about the offiicial pick-up."
[In answer to request about any info about Jane/Lisbon] " They're like family now. I think either one would take a bullet for the other."
[About whether or not there will be a 6th season] " I'm fairly certain, but not sure about confirmation.... so that's just me."
"Tone meeting ended on 9 and I'm waiting for FULL GOLD script. My job to read over/publish to cast/crew/etc."

I may have gotten something wrong, but don't all shows get 22 episode pick-ups when confirmed for a new season with the chance for one or two more ordered mid-season? |

That is correct. A full American network tv season is 22 episodes with the potential for an additional order later on. So at this point in time they haven't gotten that order. |

Justlook3 - Thanks for doing these. To be honest, Cindi spamming my twitter timeline is doing my head in, so I'm very glad you posted the best bits so I don't have to. If she carries on like this for much longer, I may have to switch her off, otherwise I might lose the will to live  |

LOL. Noone was on their twitter account for 3 weeks or so and now she seems like she's making up for lost time! But she's off for the weekend, so we can all breathe. A couple of others from yesterday evening after I got off twitter:

[This one was actually from Jordan Harper when Cindi asked him to relate a story from the shoot for 5.04] "It wasn't funny, but there was a real murder that was discovered right next to where we were shooting one day."
[On writing an episode]"The hardest part is coming up with a Jane-worthy takedown."
[Someone asked if Simon used a stunt double when he was being shocked in Ball of Fire] "That scene was a big $deal$... Not effects. Jane has a stunt dbl, but dbl told me @ party, Simon does most of his own stunts."
[How long it takes to write an episode]"It's very much a process. Stories get Studio/Network approval. Outlines & scripts same thing. All in, could take 6 wks."

Cindi here -- I'm covering for a co-worker - maybe for the rest of the week.
So far today a full Blue Prod. Draft on Ep. 510 and Cherry Revisions on Ep. 509... All before 9 AM.
Rigsby hired a nanny to help him cover the baby Ben during his visitation.
Reply to 'if you guys write the script, do you write stage directions as well?' - Everything is written - Scene headings, Stage direction, Description, Shots... Average is about 51 script pages.
Reply to ' how long do you personally take to write a script for one episode (the 50 pages)?' - You know, when you're on a deadline -- 2 weeks is what you get -- hell or high water.
Reply to 'do you help each other out, if you don't know how to go on with a script or write a difficult scene?' - Yes, very much a team effort in all ways.
No xmas-themed episode this season.
Reply to 'How many episodes of this season are related to Red John?' - Every episode of The Mentalist revolves around RJ... you just have to pay very close attention
Reply to 'How? The title?' - I don't want to spoil anything.
Reply to 'Would we find out more about RJ and his personality if we paid more attention to little things?' - Yes.
Reply to 'what little things are we talking about?' - Can't tell you, you have to watch. Job security and all.
Reply to 'even if the little things appear on the outside to have zero connection to him?' - You never never know....

Very clever of Bruno Heller. It seems there will always be something new to see in old episodes of The Mentalist. One of the logical explanations for Cindy's hint about RJ being in every episode is, of course, that he works for the CBI. |

Or in fact, Wand, that he is PJ. Oh the devilish Mr. Hell-er. He must love to hint that.  Not that I think that, I still think RJ has something to do with with his maternal side, since they are two sides of the same coin.
