Thanks for posting the design video, Fran. I really enjoyed hearing how the CBI building got its look. There's almost a gothic element to it.

This was a really fascinating insight into things you just take for granted when you watch a TV show-thanks Fran.

TVLine Spoiler Volker/Lisbon
Dipping into the reader mailbag, Charlie asked for “something about Henry Ian Cusick’s character on The Mentalist. His first appearance was fantastic, and he has been so evil!”
Not surprisingly, series boss Bruno Heller shares your enthusiasm for Lisbon’s own Red John. “It’s fun to take Lisbon down a path that Jane knows so well,” Heller shares with us. “She’s usually the voice of reason, keeping Jane in check when his Red John obsession goes too far, but in this case Lisbon is the one with the obsession. She feels responsible for the death of a woman that Volker killed and she’s determined to bring him down.” As for giving Cusick the choice role, Heller says the Lost alum has been “a revelation as Volker. He plays a titan of industry, a powerful figure who fancies himself untouchable due to his wealth and connections. Cusick has found a nice balance with the character, playing both the charm and the darkness underneath.”

Don't know where to post this, so I thought I put it here. I sent an email to Blake Neely after the second season, asking him about another Soundtrack CD and that I was worried about the ratings. Took a while but today I received an answer, this is what he wrote:

Hi Christina,
My sincere apologies for the long delay in responding! Such a nice email to receive. And don't worry: our numbers are strong again, and CBS really believes in the show.
I am still hoping for a second soundtrack release from the show. If not, then I will get more tracks up on my new website, currently being built.
Thank you for writing,
BLAKE

There is another poll in Spoiler TV, "Which is the best CBS show" and The Mentalist is leading too.
Do people from CBS watch this kind of sites? I think they should.

Thanks June! Just voted. Did Simon win the most popular male lead? I don't know how to access and check that earlier poll!

I thought we'd seen this some time ago, but in case my memory is failing me:

4.21 Ruby Slippers nominated for a GLAAD Media Award
Outstanding Individual Episode (in a series without a regular LGBT character)

(The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives.)

In case everyone is wondering where one of our 2 episodes we would normally get this year went, it was an extra one for Hawaii Five O so it could get the after football high-ratings slot last Sunday, which is why TM didn't get to be on, as H5O is a CBS produced show. Talk about being treated like a 'Red Headed Step Child.' Also, CBS has ordered a heavy slate of upcoming drama pilots. I have my fingers crossed...

Thanks Peithon! I certainly keep my fingers crossed! And am glad that somebody else is doing the 'complaining' rather than just me!

And news on a similar front, CBS has ordered Bruno Heller's The Advocates to go to pilot (that means they are actually going to film it). I am not sure we can complain about that tongue

Well, Heller's Advocates is pretty much a done deal to go to series, he got David Nutter to direct who is 17 for 18 in directing pilots that go to series:

I'm going guess that if it is picked up (which is likely) it'll go into Vegas' Tuesday night spot. Poor Vegas. At least this means that Ashley Gable will still have employment (wasn't she in on this one or was it another Heller pilot?).
