It's really lovely interview, especially the parts about his daughter, but my French isn't good enough for a proper translation. Maybe one of our French members might have the time to provide a proper translation?

Thanks for sharing the translation Ruuger. Beautiful sentiments about his wife and daughter from Simon. They are such a close-knit family not spoiled by fame in any way and so supportive of each other. So rare these days!

You're right Fran! A good example of "false friend"… sensible in french means "sensitive" in english, sensible in english means "raisonnable" in french.
I can't picture Simon as the epitome of the sensible kid  |

So tempting to assume the meaning is the same - it reminds me of my husband who seemed to think he could just say an English word with a French accent and he would be understood. For example, we were in a French restaurant and he wanted a glass of wine, so he asked for 'un glace de vin'

I know french people who do the same with Italian. As Italian and French languages have the same roots, they assume that pronouncing a french word and adding a "a" or a "o" at the end will make it italian…  |
