I chose a yarn with a pattern with blue, light blue and grey shades for the socks. I'm not very experienced with knitting socks, so they really look very much handmade ...

That is funny DS Pallas!

Love that DS...he really can't wait can he? and Tina, that sounds a lovely mix of colours, please let us have pictures of them when you have completed...I have done a bit of knitting in the past, but I really wouldn't know where to start with socks.

They are made out of a wool mix especially for socks. The pattern is in the yarn, it was very difficult to get both socks look the same. It's no t 100% matching, but I did my best.

I have to knit with 5 needles. Not very easy, I prefer to knit other stuff with just 2 needles. But for socks you need 5 needles.
Just finished the most difficult part in my lunch break. Now it should go fast and I can mail them next week.

I'm thinking about a short note for Simon thanking him for his wonderful work ...any suggestions what I could write???

Personally I completely trust you: you will know how to find the words.
It is wonderful the work which you make, I hope sincerely that you will be rewarded for it because you deserve it !
I wish you good courage because I know that the socks it is that there are the more difficult to knit !
