I read the russian article that Evy posted. Most stuff is the same like in another Givenchy Interviews but few questions/answers I found interesting. Sorry for mistakes but English isn't my native language D.Rybina New advertisment for Givenchy Intense shows young woman who colds and you put her on your jacket. Simon Exactly! Would not every normaly human does the same? D.Rybina Is it gentlemanly or seductive scene? Simon What is with you? Does your men helps or cares for you only when they want get you to bed? D.Rybina A man who courts woman does it for to get her sympathy, isn't it? Simon The people doesn't know anymore what is a gentleman. Everyone means here is a snare. It feels that all people thinks about every contact like this: you to me and me to you. During the filming I knew that my hero doesn't need anything from woman. No thanks, no number. D.Rybina Seriously? Simon Absolutely! If you don't look to gender what stays? Normally human cautious. D.Rybina If you'll more work in directing maybe you'll be missed on screen? Simon Just now isn't good time to stop with acting. The best roles are roles of mature men. That's more intersting as to play young boys. To be adult is simple great! |

My pleasure ladies! He told also that Becca is very strong woman. Stella goes the same way. Stella has always discussion with Simon about social position of women. Simon trys to be a good gentleman example for his boys.

DS_Pallas, thanks for the translation of the article about TV actors and the fashion industry, interesting, it had never occurred to me that Simon was a pioneer of TV actors being used in this way - I'll have to think about whether that's true or not.
Tanja, thanks for the translation of the Russian Cosmopolitan article (you speak Russian ). Pleased that Simon seems to imply that he doesn't want to give up acting yet, have been a bit worried about that, still hoping for an actor/director movie from him. |

I've moved a load of posts about Simon here from 'The Mentalist - Articles & Info' thread. I don't usually bother to keep the Forum organised these days, but it was getting to the stage when the thread needed to be renamed to 'More stuff about Simon' . Unfortunately, the system has screwed up the dates posted so they're all showing 9th July now |

Quote Fran ( ) I've moved a load of posts about Simon here from 'The Mentalist - Articles & Info' thread.
Sometimes it's difficult to post on the right thread because several "themes" are involved .................
For example, I've posted recently 2 articles on this thread "Articles & Info", but I realise that this thread belongs to the heading "The Mentalist". Maybe a new thread "Articles & Info" (heading "Simon News & Chat") should be created to differentiate the two threads.??? Because a press article or a web article, it's not really "Trivia & Chat" ??? I don't know what to think. That are just a thought and a suggestion, not a criticism. And I just hope my explanation is clear enough.

Sorry Evy but I don't understand your suggestion. Under the 'Simon News & Chat' section there is already the thread 'Other Simon News' for actual news about Simon including interviews and articles which contain new/interesting information, and then this thread 'Trivia & Chat' where you can post minor articles about Simon that don't really contain anything particularly interesting or new. |
