I thought they would be filming over his birthday. Do we know when they are due to start?

I'm not sure if 'last Friday' means the Friday just gone or the one before that. Either way, he doesn't usually return until just before filming starts. As previously reported, according to Karl and Tim they start filming on Wednesday (25th July), although Simon may not be needed for the 1st day (I seem to remember he wasn't last year).

Maybe Rebecca and the kids stayed behind for awhile? Making up for the time the grandparents didn't get to spend with the children while they were in Europe? They usually all come back together but that might make sense.

They are such a close family I don't think Rebecca and the children would stay in Australia without Simon simply because they would all want to be together to celebrate his birthday on the 30th.

I agree with bee, and think as of Tuesday the family were still together in Australia. Simon wasn't on set yesterday - the Call Sheet showed no call time for him and no scenes. Actually, as they're filming 2 episodes together, Simon may not be needed for the first few days.

I'm of the opinion that they've had a reasonable length break in Australia, probably several weeks as there were 2 independent sightings at Singapore airport after Chantilly, plus another 2 sightings in Australia during the last week of June, and as the French press are often unreliable we can't necessarily believe the French article that said they were in SE France.

Home & Away on 5* - according to locatetv, Simon's episode will not be shown, the other 2 1994 episodes are showing for 7th August sad
The episode will be available to view online on Channel 5's website, presumably on or after 7th Aug. And I'll still set the DVR just in case locatetv have got it wrong.

Oh what a shame!!

Have been thinking more about it bee, and I'm surprised that Simon's ep didn't win. Maybe most of the voters are Home & Away fans, and maybe they don't watch The Mentalist.

But maybe locatetv have the info wrong, so I reckon its still worth checking the eps. Fingers crossed anyway v

Fran....I'm also surprised Simon's ep didn't win. cry I agree that maybe the majority of voters are younger and, as you say, are therefore mostly Home and Away fans. Oh well....I'll still check.....just in case! sad

Really disappointed with 5*. The episodes of Home & Away that they are showing are really rubbish can't believe anyone voted for any of them. I have read some of the comments on their Home & Away page and regonise a few names from this one and agree with everything that was said including they were never going to show Simons Eps at all and was just a con.

Just shows how much notice Channel 5 take of anything that is said to them.

I'm off to Australia for 6 weeks so will miss all your comments can anyone tell me if I log on over there can catch up. I have seen that there is someone from Melbourne maybe they can help.

Then off to LA maybe see Simon?

eek

JeanT have fun down under, see you in LA. Getting a glimpse of Simon and Bec is easier on the weekends around Brentwood, unless the kids have something else planned. Also, the Beach in Santa Monica, check the surf news, you might cath Simon and the boys surfing.
