Sweetevy you were not thoughtless, just being a bit French. I do the same thing all the time, the french thing I mean. English was my second language and sometimes the spelling or grammar eludes me. Baker, however, is universal.

SWEETEVY, many of us here are not pefect in English, I knew what you mean even with the little French inside your post. As long as we all understand what the other one wants to say everything is fine. I feel comfortable posting even with not really correct English because we are not judged here. And we come from all kinds of countries. So I hope the native English speakers don't mind the wrong Grammar or some words in different languages. Sometimes it's really difficult to put anything in English words ...

It is lovely to read comments from Simon fans from other countries, and is always understood. It makes me feel inadequate that I only speak English with a little French from schooldays (many years ago.) As Sweetevy says we all have a common bond in our love and respect for Simon and that overcomes any language barrier.

I totally agree, Tassie! Every single non-native English speaker on here amazes me...I would never have the confidence to try and converse in a language that is not my own, hence the reason I never continued my studies of German and French...I'm too shy to try! Kudos to all of the wonderful members from around the world. hands I love being a member of a global family...especially one where every member has such excellent taste in TV shows, movies and men! Here's a flower for all my brothers and sisters flower kiss

Me too! smile There is no german speaking fan base (as far as I know), so I had to improve my languags skills and turn to english and french based fan sites and I'm so happy to have come home here with my interest in Simon, because at my real home they roll their eyes (except from my mother, aged 91, who admitted recently she likes to watch The Mentalist, too).

It's such a great little group here! I'm so happy to belong to it. Makes my days brighter, because I LOVE to talk about Simon.
And there is no other group as friendly as this one. It's the only fan group I post.

I couldn´t agree more - This is such a friendly place full of Simon Baker enthusiastics and we all benefit from eachother! May it be language or technic skills or else what.
We all try our best here and help eachother out (e.g. with translations...) and I really do like that we are from so many different countries/ languages. It makes it even more intresting and colourful here.
As all of us, non-english-natives I improved a lot through talking free here and you (english natives) never made me feel I had to worry about wrong grammar or what not (I would appreciate corrections, though wink )
In some other english speaking forums (different subject, don´t worry), I found english natives (mostly USA) who write a really bad english, so I sometimes feel like I want to correct them... wacko
Yes, we are a nice bunch alltogether!
