Sorry Fran, I posted this on the 'latest news' section this morning, not realising it was already on here....could you remove my post please, I can't work out how to.
I love this interview, and I agree with him about romantic gestures.....My Hubby doesn't do the big hearts and flowers thing, but I get tea in bed on Sunday, and he always fill the car up with petrol for me (I hate the smell) |

258pce - thanks very much for posting this. Agree with Lena, love Simon's comment about his marriage. Also love "In my heart I am a normal ‘bloke from Australia’ who loves to do simple ‘bloky things’".
Rather surprised to see the "upcoming 2 seaons" comment, I wonder if the writer of the article has accurately reflected Simon's words.
mossibecca - no problem |

Thank you for posting this 258pce!
Funny how so said journalists never check informations. It's been a while TM doesn't have 15M viewers anymore in the US. And I think Simon contracted for 7 seasons in 2011, what you can hardly qualify as "recently".
The way it's written, "The writing team is thinking about a big storyline in the upcoming two seasons towards a spectacular finale", they seem to assert that there will be 2 more seasons, but Simon does not actually say it. For me, it's a bit of a blur here…

Thanks 258pce, very interesting article. Also love it when he says "I'm a normal bloke from Australia, who loves to do simple bloky things". Also the comment about his marriage! Shows that fame hasn't changed him one bit and he's still that same guy that values his family and enjoys the normal things in life! |

Lena, I didn't do the translation--I found it on twitter
Mossibecca, I debated about putting it in latest news, but not knowing the source or date, I felt more comfortable putting it here. I think it might be legitimate to leave it in both places for now as many probably won't find it here. I really appreciate that you keep on top of these kinds of things. My finding it was purely serendipitous.
Wherever it's from, it certainly has some delightful Simon nuggets. |

Quote (justlook3) My god in heaven. That door photo. Please let it be out in the Interwebs somewhere at some point. Because that needs to be on my computer desktop. I'm with you on that one! Good Lord boy! |

Looks like Simon's visiting Stella over the weekend - posted on instagram today: "Simon Baker sat behind me on my #virginamerica flight to #portland.

That's kind of creepy. Whoever took this crossed my "intrusive" line. |

Yeah, it would be a comforting thought knowing he was back there. BUT I agree with Hayseed -- whoever took the photo crossed a line - if they had asked him if it was okay and Simon was smiling into the lens, that would be different, but he obviously wasn't aware the photo was being taken. That's just wrong. |

I'm glad he's having some down time in Oregon. Looks like he's off the diet, having beer. Stella is a very opinionated and strong young woman, like her mum, and the challenge for Simon is being a dad (enforcer) and a doting parent. I'm sure they're having some great moments since her last visit here. Probably coming home for Spring break. |
