I vote in any poll, too. Don't think it helps to get Season 7, but it can also not harm ...and I have the feeling to do at least something. |

Deadline article about the future of TM : (I post it here because it's about 7th season)
http://www.deadline.com/2014....ed-list
At CBS, if you were on the air when the network made its early renewals last month and you didn’t get on the list, you’re in trouble. The network already has picked up 20 programs for next season — 9 dramas, 6 comedies, 3 reality shows and 2 news magazines — so space is tight. There is a good chance that none of the network’s freshman dramas, Hostages and Intelligence, still-mentalist-season-6-episode-11will make it to a second season despite a decent DVR bump for Intelligence. The biggest question mark on the hourlong side is veteran The Mentalist, which, midway though its current sixth season rebooted itself creatively by wrapping the five-and-a-half-season-long Red John storyline and moving the setting to a new city with a partially revamped cast. CBS seems ready to let go of the procedural, which airs in the Sunday 10 PM slot that often bleeds into late night because of sports overruns. However, with a $2 million-plus per-episode off-network deal and healthy international sales, producer Warner Bros TV is not ready to call it quits and is expected to fight hard for a seventh-season renewal. Ratings-wise, the show has done slightly better than its lead-in, recently renewed The Good Wife, though Good Wife is a prestige drama for CBS and makes money for the network as it is owned and has lucrative syndication/streaming pacts. The Mentalist creator/showrunner Bruno Heller is expected to segue to his Batman prequel series Gotham, but there is a transition plan in place for next season, with one of his lieutenants positioned to take over if there is a pickup. |

Good job! Hopefully it will help them with the decision. My package should arrive these days at CBS. Another month... I don't think we hear anything before...it's killing me. |

Thanks for the updates Hayseed. Unfortunately 8pm is a very difficult time for me so I haven't been joining in lately. They seem to be using quite obscure phrases now, I don't know anything about the possible effectiveness of this type of activity, but I can't help but feel that it would be better to keep the Season 7 renewal message consistently clear and direct. |

Hey Fran - I miss sometimes too. Real life gets in the way of our fantasies sometimes.
The reason they're using different phrases is because once a word or group of words is used, it becomes harder to trend them the next time. It's the way the system keeps common phrases from trending all the time. You can include anything about Season 7 in your tweet, but unless you use a "different" phrase as well, it's very hard to trend.
Friday April 18 Trending time 3PM EST The phrase is:
Tyger Tyger |
