Found an interesting thing that may be a clue for a possible renewal of TM for a 7th season…
Or maybe like Simon, I'm always optimistic!
It's a quote from an interview Rock Dunbar (Dennis Abbott) gave to InsideTv - Entertainment Weekly, last december, 2013, about the Sons Of Anarchy finale and his work:
[…] I wasn’t in the first couple episodes [of season 6 of Sons on Anarchy] because of that, and Kurt pulled me back on to the show, and we start going along, and then The Mentalist came after me with an offer, and it was something I couldn’t refuse. I sat down with Bruno [Heller] and Chris [Long], and they were like, “We love the work you’re doing on Sons of Anarchy. We know they haven’t made you a series regular yet, so we want to step up and make you a series regular on our show. We figure we have a few more seasons under our belt and we hear Sons of Anarchy only has one more.”

Thanks DSP, interesting. Maybe I'm just a "glass half full person" but I've always felt that the investment made in the reboot and signing up new series regulars (particularly Rockmond Dunbar who I think is a class act) were good grounds for optimism. |

Ref: IMDB listing The Mentalist to return on Mondays with 'Black Helicopters'. Interesting, for sure!!! I have read that Josh Holloway's new "Intelligence" has NOT brought in the viewers hoped for by CBS. Could there be a cancelation and a possible new airing slot for Simon? He'd go up against "Castle".......I'd bet on our 'golden boy', though. (Thank heavens for DVRs). |

I'd really love to see TM get a new air time, but I doubt it. We sure would hear something official from CBS or one of the people involved in TM who are at twitter. And it should have been announced by now.
About that article about Rockmond: I'd SO love to learn this is true. Honestly I don't believe we will get more than the 7th season, but at least that!
When I look at all the shows that are long over a 7th season or did get 7, compared to TM, they are not half as good! I'm still very upset with CBS, because I'm sure ratings would be better on another day. I really hope they consider this bad air time when they decide, and I hope they decide to give TM the 7th season! |

Well, she is a little late to the party...but...let's embrace the fact that she turned up at last! Poor woman, must have been so lonely and cold out there in a PJ-less world! 
Thanks, Fran. It was quite amusing in parts...and so very true. Although I haven't yet received my CBI badge...(I do have an FBI one, however...did I really admit that out loud?) I do consider myself one of the team, ha ha. I guess the CBI has the highest number of 'International Agents' around. And aren't we all soooooo good at solving crimes?! All from the confines of our living room couches! It's a wonder there is a crime rate anywhere!

Thanks Fran, nice read :). I can indentify with her, I also found TM last spring and wached all 5 seasons in few weeks and found myself mesmerised by Patric Jane and his world and look at me now!   |
