You can't joke with Rugby. This was a day of national mourning

I didn't and yes it was ! But who cares about it in France ? sad There is only the "World Cup 2014" in Brazil which is important for weeks ?

I am pleased to see that Simon relaxes by attending a good rugby match wink

I watched the Australian games at the World Cup and I'm so sad they are out because the really played good soccer! I wonder if Simon and his boys watched too.
There is one player who kind of reminded me on "Pike", don't know why ...he looked a little bit like him in my opinion.

Rugby is totally unpopular in Germany. But we all know it's Simon's sport and it's nice we got a new photo biggrin
I hope he has a great time and has the opportunity to do things he hasn't done in a long time!

I watched Australia (and England) in the World Cup and also wondered whether Simon saw it too. Rugby was always big in our household when I was growing up, my father playing the game, and I can remember him travelling to watch all the major games. I don't really care so much for football, too many "theatrics" on the pitch. Give me rugby any day!

I've found the original scans from the magazine Madame Figaro's article posted on the home page two weeks ago.

More info about the Abe Moon Green Memorial surfing contest on Saturday 21st June (was invitation only and Simon was competing in Heat 2): http://abegreenmemorial20th.weebly.com/

says photos coming soon, so worth checking back

Don't know how Simon did but some comments on the instagram pic were:
from @thecoastroad: simon baker rips eh
reply from @moceanmediahouse: The #mentalist was going #mental yesterday

[While checking Odin Green's FB for photos, I noticed he'd posted a photo of Simon on the Walk of Fame with the comment "What a legend,Australia should be so stoked,Simon is da man, josh will be up there having a cold one for him", and a couple of replies from friends were "Long way from kmart in ballina" and "Even further from manning the top of the waterslide!"]

Thanks Fran for the info on the surfing contest Simon competed in the other day. Look forward to seeing more photos and by the sound of the comments he must have done pretty well.

Thanks Fran...lovely comments about Simon from his friends at the surfing contest...and nice to have confirmed that he's still just a normal bloke who has remained true to his friends and enjoys spending time with them. Can't wait to see the pics. Hope he did well! smile

There was a recent interview with Simon in Australia on a sports channel, presumably it was pre-recorded.

FOX SPORTS NRL @FOXNRL
30th June
Don't miss tonight's #Matty as Fletch and Hindy have a special interview with proud Parra fan and star actor, Simon Baker. FS1 after MNF.

They also tweeted the following, but don't take it seriously, The Nepal Donkeys is a joke team.
BREAKING: New owner of @TheNepalDonkeys is actor Simon Baker. #Matty

Thanks Kim, looks to me that it's an online version of an article Evy posted and DS_Pallas translated here http://thebakerboy.ucoz.com/forum/2-105-15426-16-1404902635
