We should take a poll: flip flops (which I grew up with in Santa Cruz, CA) or tongs |

I'm from Canada. We use both terms, but I have always thought it to be thongs, not tongs. |

Remember a line from the Beach Boys song "All Summer Long" ...."T-shirts cut-offs and a pair of thongs, we've been having fun all Summer long" That was in the early 1960's. |

I am an American, and when I was in college in the 1960' s we called them thongs. The term flip flops came along later. |

Thanks Coral for that find. It's interesting, although given their recent home purchase, I'm not surprised that they would want to move to a more private space. |

Makes sense since they bought a house in Sydney and don't need that appartment anymore. I wonder what Simon is doing next, if they stay in Australia. Thanks coral for finding the info. |

Great find Coral. I like to think that they will stay in Australia now, at least until the boys finish school. |

Yeah, I'm guessing they're back to Australia for good, since Simon doesn't have to stay in the US to look for jobs anymore - he's in a situation where he's offered roles, so he can use Sydney as a base and travel to the US to work when needed.
And looks like they're again set to make a pretty good profit on their home if they bought it for $2,6 millions and selling it for $3,3-3,5 millions like the article says...
Also, I was looking at the photos in the listing, and I'm guessing that the apartment has been redecorated for the photos after Simon & his family moved out, because otherwise someone in his family is a huge Twilight fan since you can see the books on the livingroom shelf |
