Also 7 suspects, seven letters in Red John, though Jack The Ripper was also known as Red Jack. I don't think they mean Red John was actually the name of Patrick's sled. In the movie, generally considered to be the greatest American movie ever filmed, Citizen Kane, Rosebud is whispered by the dying Charles Foster Kane, whose happy memory is the name of his sled which he kept all those years. His last happy memory, even though he was poor, of playing in the snow before his childhood was snatched away as he was forced into adulthood by trustees and success, where he is never personally happy or honorable. The character was based on William Randolph Hearst. But again, we go back to Jane's childhood - we're getting close to our popular theory it has something to do with Jane's mother who has very conspicuously never been mentioned in the show.

Anything about the Jane/Lisbon romance on The Mentalist? –Holly
Their romance? Slow down, Tex. We’re not there. Yet. But once the Red John nastiness is over? Perhaps a very different story. “They haven’t been thinking about [their growing closeness] while it’s been happening, so all this accumulated emotion and feeling has been building up, essentially, behind them,” show boss Bruno Heller shares. “It’s only when they step away from that and can turn around and look back that they will really start to see how they feel about each other, and it’s great fun to explore that on the page. I think it’s going to be a whole different look at these two characters.”

This last bit is quite a guideline for another season should they chose to do so. Rigsby and Van Pelt gone, Red John now a bad memory, Jane and Lisbon can surely see where this will lead them. Also the new people opted as regulars and probably FBI, is Lisbon going in that direction, and Jane with her, although he doesn't really like the Fibbies. A good season coming in just a few days, Whoopee!!!

This is not really a spoiler, but it's a youtube "commentary" from a guy (Americ) who has seen the finale - it doesn't contain any actual spoilers.

Americ's nonspoiler review of 6.01

Honestly, I'm a mess. Sunday can not come soon enough.

These people are fictional.

I'm already very nervous, counting the days. I'm so happy that I already bought the season pass at itunes. It wasn't possible the last years to buy it before the first episode was available, but this year it's possible to pre-order smile

Hayseed - thanks, but I don't want to risk watching that video. There's a written review out there as well (from TVRage) which apparently does contain episode spoilers, but I don't want to read it, I don't want to know anything more about the episode now, I just want to watch it!

More from TVLine, but nothing new:

Question: Do you have any scoop on Bones, Castle, Glee, The Mentalist or Once Upon a Time? –Janika
Ausiello: I see… a Mentalist scoop in your future. Though we know that Amanda Righetti and Owain Yeoman are leaving at some point this season, and though we know Van Pelt and Rigsby are heading for a wedding, it’s still hazy on how/why exactly the characters will be written off of the show. “The hunt for Red John is reaching its climax,” series creator Bruno Heller notes. And with that, “the CBI is thrown into turmoil… so Rigsby and Van Pelt – and Cho – are forced to find new ways to be in the world.”

Question: I’ll love you forever if you give me a spoiler about The Mentalist! –Natasha
Ausiello: Bruno Heller says that after Red John’s capture this season, a big new arc will kick in — though he’s loath to utter a word about it. “As soon as you shoot an arrow in the air it’s going to land somewhere, and I don’t want to shoot that arrow quite yet,” he explains. “I would say that one of the luxuries if we do indeed catch and get rid of Red John… is that it’s a huge weight and burden off the shoulders of Jane and Lisbon and everybody else, so it’s a good life change, it gives them freedom and a sense of being able to breathe again. So while there will be gripping arcs of the kind that the audience is used to, we’re going to take this opportunity to open it up a bit.

Don't worry, Fran. There aren't any spoilers in that video, but the guy who presents his pre-review is really funny.
I watched it and it had the same effect on me as it had on Hayseed:
I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hayseed, thanks for posting!!!

That Americ one really doesn't have any spoilers. Honest. This one DOES have spoilers, however, so beware. It's an actual clip out of the show 6.01, shown as a sneak peek (Jane & Lisbon in car):

SPOILER SNEAK PEEK
