It's an interesting idea about there being a possible clue to do with Jane & RJ's connection to the same children's home. I had speculated before about RJ knowing Jane as a child, and perhaps being involved himself in the carnival circuit. I'd more-or-less dismissed the idea as I thought it had been looking unlikely, but it's still in the back of my mind as a possibility. I don't think there's any surprise that RJ associates with these type of places, because they are for vulnerable people and RJ preys on the vulnerable - that's how he recruits his disciples. |

Spoiler alert! Now we know that Red John is a Cabal of killers within an organization {Visualize) and the members who form this cabal are likely to have those tattooed 3 dots on their left shoulder. Bret Stiles being the top man of course, Haffner probably Roy T. (Rosalyn could probably identify him) and Timothy Carter was indeed the one who killed Jane's family and the writers were on cue when they said at the onset of season 4 that we had already seen RJ. Of course this is speculation, but we have all the clues we need. |

Has anyone thought that RJ could be Kirkland's twin brother Mike. When we are given the seven name, Robert Kirkland is one of the suspects, but his brother would probably be mistaken for Bob or it is another clever ruse by Mr. Heller. |
