I'm not sure how new this is. CBS has posted the list of 7 suspects along with their bios. http://www.cbs.com/shows/the_mentalist/red-john/

When Lisbon looked that the pictures in 6.01, I thought Reede Smith's picture looked slightly pink(red). Maybe that's supposed to be a clue, like in the episosde with the bus having lottery advertisement on the side. Also, in 6.02, after Jane spoke to the three suspects in Bertram's office, the way Smith talked to Bertram after Jane left gave the impression that Smith felt superior to Bertram.

But Smith is so short and bully, the RJ we saw in Season 2 looked more slim and taller...
but to be honest, I have no plan who RJ is!

Still believe it is Partridge. Way too many bird clues/references for it to be coincidence!

There is the name "AMY HAFFNER" on PJ's list of clients (cf season 1 / episode 16. You can see it at 22:18 and also at 22:24 (more bigger) of the video -I've checked)
http://redjane91.tumblr.com/post....r-found

Maybe there is a connection with Ray Haffner ??? wink

A little off-topic, but I just rewatched 1.16 in order to have a look at this client list of PJ and found this nice:
First thing that caught my eye and made me curious was to find James Dean amongst the names.
If you google the names, most of them have a connection to TM production Team.

Amanda Andolsek: ?
Kyle Bown : production assistant TM
Peter Chrimes: key grip (cam & elect. dep.) TM
Lisa Chu: ?
Jason Zev Cohen: Assistant art director on TM
Kathryn Comkowycz: aka Kathryn Moss second assistant camera on TM
Nina Corrado: Producer, Director TM
Colin Couto: sth. Camera and Electrical Department
Tami Nicole D´Addio: assistant: executive producer TM
Allan Davis: Brit. writer/actor
James Dean: actor
Scott DeShields: construction coordinator TM
Elizabeth Diamond: assistant to producer TM
Michael K. Dunivant: ?
Jamie Feldman: production coordinator
Meghan Fox: actress
Carol Gentry: ?
Don Goodman: Brit. footballer
Eric Gvastelt: ?
Amy Haffner: set costumer TM
Mark Hochman: computer/video playback supervisor TM
Rob Johnson: former professional American football quarterback/ American professional baseball catcher
Karla Kieffer: ?
Kenny King: American professional wrestler
Rick Kyker: property master (art dep) TM
Jordan Macadangdar: ?
Kevin Malloy: ?
Mack Melson: sound mixer TM
Justin Miller: American football player
Conor Murphy: Irish professional footballer
Jean Nakahara: production coordinator TM
Kali Record: buyer (art dep.) TM
Jaime Lynn Riegel: art department assistant
Stephen A. Schifini: Production Assistant

I guess it´s their way to give credits to the members of the production-team
I´m sure, there´s more to find out with the names they give characters as well.
Cool thing, it´s a nice way to do it!

beautyfulbabyboy, this is a great research, thanks! And it is very cool and witty to give a credit to people behind the camera in that way smile

They also used names of the team behind the camera in a newer episode on the white board (I think it was a suspect list or something). I recognized it because the name "Christina Barker" caught my attention which sounds a little bit like "Christina Baker" which would be cool since my name is Christina :-) I later saw that name in the end credit. And I recognized other names from the end credit.

Suppose : Bertram is RJ (fortunatly, in my opinion he isn't) :
For PJ, having worked so long alongside the man who killed his family.
Moreover, PJ has always been nice with Bertram !
It would be horrible !!! facepalm

If Partridge is really dead, my No. 1 suspect is now Haffner.

I have questions for weeks

Do you remember the episode S 5.22 ?? The last one of the season. I just watched again.

At the beginning of the video (about 5 mn), PJ says, after calling to know the phone number written on the wall in the bedroom of the motel, that he stayed at Carson Springs, "Child Protective Services".
We didn't know before that he spent time there alone without parents. Why ? I'm sure this period is important. What has happened during this time ? Where were his father we have seen in other episodes ? What happened so that PJ finds himself in an orphanage ? In this episode, why would RJ have chosen precisely this institution?
I really think there is a connection but I do not manage to find which one.

In the episode S 5.16, the action takes place at the "Family of Hope Women's shelter". The institute where was Lorelei's sister killed by RJ.
Why always these kind of places ???

What are Heller's thoughts ?? I know that I go back on the season 5 but I'm looking where Heller wants to lead us.
What do you think, YOU ?? Help me to try to understand !!! cranky

I'm not sure when he split from his father's venue or if his father died, but Simon was still with the circus when he married and he and Angela left afterwards, so his childhood in orphanage was temporary and he had to have returned to the circus at one point. I'm still hoping we find out about his mother, that would be an interesting subplot. There seems to have been a lot of animosity within the circus family and when Lorelei was killed, she was left my RJ in some sort of Circus repository. So a lot revolves around that theme, perhaps RJ was once in the circus hi,self.
