In Canada the bravo channel will have a Mentalist Marathon this weekend (July 1 is Canada Day), nothing but Mentalist episodes from 4 AM central time Saturday June 29 to 4 AM central time Tuesday July 2! That's 3 days, goes to show it must be popular! |

Luke, who had his own hit show in Vegas, is also the genius behind cult US series The Mentalist starring telly hunk Simon Baker.

Hollywood bigwigs snapped him up to coach Baker for The Mentalist after seeing his Vegas show — and even based some of the series on his act. In the show, Baker plays Patrick Jane, a psychic who uses unusual powers of observation to help cops solve crime cases.
Luke said: “Some TV producers told me the writing was based on a couple of key people — and that I was one of them.
“I didn’t know that at the time but I was really flattered. They didn’t want to do anything that looked fake so I helped them.
“Simon Baker was such a pleasant man, I think he might be one of the most charismatic people I’ve ever met in my life.”

On a sad news here in U.S. our cable company has decided to boycott CBS and its affiliates and we have no access to any of their programs, total blackout. They told me to watch shows on the computer or install an outside antenna for local shows, which we can't because of H.A. rules. I hope they resolve this conflict before the new season starts since I have no other way to DVR T.M. except with cable. |

I'll probably have to get an antenna, unfortunately Aereo is not available in my area. CBS has also blocked my cable company from viewing online...very frustrating!
