Hurray for Channel 5. Something to look forward to in the long winter months. November seems so far away though. So sorry for the US fans who will lose out. The viewing numbers will go down once more and that's bad news for everyone. |

Be aware KathyF CBS is doing this to other cable providers as well, in my area WBTV which is a CBS affiliate constantly battles with Dish and DirectTV and has gone black with them on a number of occasions. I am in a medium sized market. IF CBS wins, all the networks will try and do it with all the providers. No white knights in this fight. |

It's worth noting that it's sometimes the people who own the affliates who battle with the providers, for example BELO who owns the ABC station in Dallas had an issue (of course BELO also occassionally has battles with the networks themselves.)
At any rate Kathy, we have Directv and if you would like a referral, send me a message. I've been a Directv customer since 1998 and would never leave. For the short term, we live in the north suburbs and an in room antenna in a window gets the CBS station well enough for a short term solution. You probably will want to look online for the best features for your situation.
ETA: If you get your Internet via someone other than TWC you can also access CBS online. And there are other um solutions but I wouldn't worry just yet. I bet this will be figured out before the fall season starts.
ETA2: Kathy, husband says the tv receivers are to the south of the city, so unless you in the far north suburbs, an in room antenna in a south facing window should work fine for CBS. We use ours for the alternate feeds which aren't on the Directv and for football games because he has to have games on two tvs at a time!

Hi Evy, try this. When you go into the page, you see "the video you have requested is not available...". But if you click "can't wait for the next exciting reveal", you can see this video perfectly. I did it and it worked. I'm in Spain, so I think it should work for you too.

As a subscriber to TIme Warner now being boycotted by CBS I cannot get anything from that source. They had better get their ducks in a row soon, I can't survive much longer without a Simon fix, and the new season starting soon!!! |
