Quote (Peithon) maybe Bruno Heller has gone in another direction Quote (sylvia5993) I personaly think that Bruno has changed his mind or never quite made his mind until now about the identity of RJ. I really hope this isn't true. I've always thought that Bruno decided on the identity of Red John right at the beginning, and that I'd have the pleasure of looking back on a skilfully crafted arc with clever hints and clues. If RJ turns out to be a random person who has been decided on at the last minute, it would be a massive anti-climax for me. |

Same thing for me… Would be very weird if BH has changed his mind about RJ identity throughout the seasons |

Thanks for the translation!
A couple of things stuck out for me in this one. I don't believe that he doesn't know anything about the Amanda/Owain situation. Not only has he always had a hand in the show, but he's now a producer. I understand not being able to publicly confirm it, but I would find it very odd if he didn't know.
I suspect if he returned to TV would be a cable drama like HBO or Showtime. In the past, he's complained about the limitations of network television and the long seasons.
Last year, I think the stupid time slot right behind football screwed up the ratings. Some of the delays were ridiculous and people who DVR'd it missed most of the show. I hope that's not the case this year. |

I agree Flip, he must have known but the tweeting by Amanda and her husband must have made the set very difficult for all concerned. |

The situation with Amanda and Owain may have from the people above the producers, CBS or WB. Generally when a minority is put in as part of the cast it comes from people at the top to try and improve that demo. But yes, it is written in the contracts that they are not to divulge plotlines so Amanda's hubby made a big faux pas and Amanda should not have acknowledged it. Simon being an actor as well as a producer isn't going to comment in detail, he wouldn't have made that decision. Now if only we could get rid of The Good Wife as a lead in, things could start cooking again. |

From The National Enquirer - believe it or not, your choice
“THE MENTALIST” FAILS TO PREDICT SCARY FAN CAR CRASH! A sudden loud crash ruined a scene “The Mentalist” star SIMON BAKER was shooting near downtown Pasadena, Calif., when a nutty female fan dying to meet him crashed her car into a truck parked on the set!
Said My Mentalist Spy: “This lady’s favorite actor in the world happens to be Simon, so when a friend called to say our star was filming just a few blocks away, she jumped into her spanking-new blue BMW and raced over – so excited she didn’t immediately see barricades blocking off the street, swerved sharply and…CRASH… slammed into our equipment truck!”
Crew members came running to help the 40-ish gal, who was dazed but unhurt and immediately wailed: “Oh, my god! I’ve only had this car for three days – and now look what I’ve done.”
But it wasn’t a total loss for the lass, who beamed when Simon strolled up and drawled: “This is one hell of a way to try and meet someone!”
After taking a picture with her idol, the elated woman gushed to the crew: “Hey, my car can be fixed…but meeting Simon was so worth it!” http://www.nationalenquirer.com/mike-wa....r-crash |

I don't quite know the National Enquirer's place in the world anymore. I know they gained reputability by breaking the John Edwards story in the US a few years back. I don't know what percentage of their stuff is made up. |

I tend to think that with these type of sensationalist papers, their stories have a grain of truth but are heavily embellished and exaggerated. |

Yes, what Fran said. Possibly there was a fender bender in the area near where they were filming for example. Maybe one person involved did get an autograph from Simon while waiting on the police. Etc. Then it gets blown into, she ran into the truck, blah blah blah. |

My take is that the fact they make up stories like this is a good indicator of Simon Baker's popularity. Who would bother, unless people wanted to read this. It may be an exaggeration, but I would say it's true in spirit. |

Thanks Tina, the link is fine. This looks like a great dramatic moment. “It’s less like ‘Seven little Indians’ and more like Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy,” show boss Bruno Heller told us of the manhunt. “Some of [the seven] will knocked out as suspects early on, others will remain.” - Bruno does love his literary references |
