I'm so sorry Fran : I missed your publication a few weeks ago !  If I had seen it I wouldn't have posted (although I think read all sections. But it's so rich sometimes ! 
But as I wrote it, I think it wasn't true : I read in the press that it was more to attract the sale of tickets in advance. |

I read that Simon is invited to the Monte Carlo TV Festival again in June. Well, he is invited, that doesn't mean he is really coming.
But I will be there
Already booked hotel and flight. I was there the last 2 years. It's really great to see so many tv stars. Was very close to Owain 2 years ago. But with all the French girls and paparazzi I didn't get the chance to get a photo with him.
And the officials always rush the stars after the interview to get back to the building, were "normal" people are not allowed to go. It's not very "fan-friendly" there ... |

Don't worry Sweetevy , I'm glad that you did post because it reminded me to check on the event, which I had intended to do because I was always sceptical about it.
I think it's very wrong of the cinema to promote it and sell advance tickets when Simon's attendance wasn't confirmed  |

I read some precisions and explications on a website :
In fact, (translation of the beginning of the article, I hope you can understand...)
"The organizers chose to make a small difference this year by bringing fans contribution to choose some of the guests.
Thus, from January 28 to february 10th, 2013, the fans were able to propose actors' names by filling their "VIP" "LIST" and 30 the most approved by a large majority by the fans wil receive an invitation to the festival.
Attention, this does not guarantee their presence, the actors may well decline the invitation if personal or professional." The list includes 30 names actually, here are the top 10 :

2.Stana Katic (Kate Beckett, Castle)
3.Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan, Once upon a Time)

Thank you so much for the translation, SWEETEVY. I know a little French, so I knew this is just a list of people who are invited but that it's not guaranteed they are coming.
I guess it depends what he's up to this summer. If he would do a movie in Europe there might be a chance, but I don't really expect him to be there. But it's good anyway to be in Monte Carlo, to be where he was ...I visited many of the places the last 2 years where he had been as I had seen on the photos from the Paparazzis. Special feeling to know that I'm standing in the same spot as Simon some years ago ... |

I could also go to Monte Carlo, it is not too far from my home. But I think there are too many people and it takes too long to see our favorite stars and may be Simon of course. It will be nice to go for you Tina !

Thanks Sweetevy. I think if the chat is Simon related, the 'Trivia & Chat' thread in the Simon section would be the best place. If its general chat about Monte Carlo and personal experiences of visiting, then one of the Off-Topic chat threads would probably be best. So we still don't know when the LA Premiere will be. What's wring with this picture? This is after all where the cinema has its heart and soul. I think Simon will be home in Australia working on his film so he could be thoroughly involved there and the family home there with him. He does need some rest however after being on the go all year on several continents. |

I was wondering if IGIAY would come to germany at all - today I finally saw the ads on TV!
It will premiere on April18th here - hubby saw the ads with me and (not knowing...) laughed out loud
watching the "dove-scene"! Critiques are so and so - I hope I will like it and it will be a success! |
