We haven't seen much of her that's true. I suppose she's tied up with other projects.

Wasn't she the one who was pregnant when they were filming, or am I getting mixed up?

She was pregnant. Maybe that's why she wore dowdy clothes in the movie? (I haven't seen the movie, but I know people commented on her unattractive appearance.)

Is it just me, or it's apparently Simon Baker who bears all the promo work on his shoulders in Europe? (London, Paris, Berlin)? Besides Dan Mazer, who came to the premiere in Paris, where were Rafe Spall and Rose Byrne?

In addition, he is supposed to be on vacation ... blink

Definitely, this guy is dedicated to his very core. What a pro. Hats off!

I'm guessing that due to his popularity in Europe, he was the number one choice to promote because people would turn up to see the film just to see him. Hell, he's the reason I saw it!!! Would not have gone to see it otherwise. Rafe Spall and Rose Byrne would not be as popular or as big a draw. At the end of the day, the whole purpose is to get as many people to go see the film as they can....Simon will produce those results...the others wouldn't.

He's definitely dedicated....I bet he can't wait to get to his farm in Nashua and start digging the land and building his little projects...riding around on his tractor, swimming in his river, climbing his trees....wow...sounds like a fantastic way to spend the summer. Having just attacked a huge amount of overgrown ivy that had ambushed my whole garden fence, and loved feeling the leaves and the smell of the earth, I can understand why he likes it. It is so rewarding. Oooh I need to level my garden and build some supporting walls and I could use the help....anyone think he'd be up for it?! wink teehee

I absolutely agree with AGENT M and DS : producers use the popularity of Simon in Europe with the Mentalist.
I am sure that in France, people will go see the movie to see Simon, without knowing the other actors ! (French people love Simon so much ! wink )
Indeed he plays a secondary role and it is him who makes the promo ! tongue

We all appreciate that even supporting roles are essential. I think that is was quite a feat that an Australian got to play this
pivotal role of an American in a decidedly British movie made by an American.

Uhh...sylvia...Dan Mazer is quite British, not American. wink But I get your meaning! It's a bit like me ( a Brit) learning German from a Scottish lecturer!! wacko

The film's been doing pretty well in Finland, too. It was the second most popular movie this week after Oblivion, with a bit over 14 000 viewers so far (about 9 000 of those were during the opening weekend).
