Thanks for the articles. Though, I tend to disagree with Simon's example of Homeland as a show that was a victim of viewer boredom. I don't know if Simon actually watched the show, but it lost it's phenomenon standing due to the awful writing of the third season. It was a complete train wreck. Don't even get me started on the incredible amount of time spent on the teenage daughter that went nowhere or the inconsistent writing of the main characters. Sorry for the off-topic mini-rant, but it started out as such a good show and just torpedoed downward. |

Well sound to me too that he might not have watched the show, but I think he's just taken the example of a critically acclaimed show that went under the radar pretty quickly to emphasize the fickleness of the audience.
Must be a constant concern for a lead actor/producer like Simon. We were very lucky to have 7 season of TM (orshould I say 6 seasons and a half?) |

I sometimes feel that 'stars' of shows are on a knife edge after a few series of popular shows. Especially if there is doubt about a further series as there was in the case of TM.
